Pressetexte sind zum Kotzen! Ein Haufen Zeilen, die Interesse beim Leser wecken und in seiner Kaufentscheidung beeinflussen sollen. Im Grunde genommen schaffen es diese miesen Ausgeburten der Marketingabteilungen allerdings nicht im geringsten, den tatsächlichen Wert einer guten CD zu beschreiben.Wie zum Beispiel auch bei der CD „Am Puls Der Zeit“ der Band CAMPING IM KELLER. Denn was soll man da schon schreiben?
Erst einmal wahrscheinlich die Fakten: „Am Puls Der Zeit“ ist die Debüt-CD von CAMPING IM KELLER und enthält 10 Lieder, welche in den Leipziger dbm-Studios eingespielt wurde.
Dann wird die Band kurz vorgestellt: CAMPING IM KELLER ist eine Leipziger Band und wurde von Matt S. und Ron S. gegründet. Die beiden Musiker sammelten schon vor C.I.K. musikalische Erfahrung bei diversen anderen Projekten und blablabla …
Anschließend wird versucht, die Musik zu beschreiben und in irgendeine musikalische Schublade zu stecken: Die CD „Am Puls Der Zeit“ ist eine wirklich abwechslungsreiche Produktion, bei der man sich unweigerlich in verschiedenen musikalischen Zeiten wiederfindet. Ob nun Electro, den man vornehmlich bei Bands aus den frühen 90ern fand, beinharter EBM der dritten Generation oder moderner clubtauglicher Electro der heutigen Zeit – CAMPING IM KELLER schafft mit „Am Puls Der Zeit“ den Spagat zwischen allen diesen Genres. Besonders erwähnt seien auch die Texte der einzelnen Lieder, die sich durch das markant rollende „R“ und vor allem der Alltagstauglichkeit auszeichnen. Am Ende dann noch das Fazit: „Am Puls Der Zeit“ von CAMPING IM KELLER“ ist eine absolute Empfehlung für alle EBMer und Electro-Heads und solche die es werden wollen!
Tja, so entsteht ein Pressetext, und wie schon erwähnt, wird er der CD „Am Puls Der Zeit“ von CAMPING IM KELLER noch nicht einmal annähernd gerecht.

Actually, these spiteful monsters of the marketing divisions aren’t able to describe the real value of a good CD at all. The same holds true for the CD “Am Puls Der Zeit” by CAMPING IM KELLER. So what needs to be written?

The next step is trying to describe their music and to somehow categorize it: The CD “Am Puls Der Zeit” is a really diversified production, so that listeners will find themselves in different music eras. From electro music produced by bands in the early 90s, to the hard-as-bone EBM of the third generation or modern electro played in the clubs these days - with their album “Am Puls Der Zeit”, CAMPING IM KELLER manages the balancing act between all these genres. It is especially the lyrics of the single songs that are worth mentioning. They can be distinguished by the strikingly rolling “R” and, most of all, their suitability for daily use. Finally there comes the conclusion: “Am Puls Der Zeit” by CAMPING IM KELLER is to be absolutely recommended to all EBM people and electro heads and those who still want to become it.
So this is how a press release is written, and, as already mentioned, it doesn’t at all give enough credit to the CAMPING IM KELLER album “Am Puls Der Zeit”.
In fact, it would have been enough to say: BUY THE CD! YOU WON’T REGRET IT!
